Abstract
To continue our series of editorials on qualitative research I have invited Dr Judith Christensen to discuss some of the features of interpretive research. Judith's very good book Nursing Partnerships is based on the grounded theory study she undertook for her doctorate. Here she uses this material to provide a thoughtful demonstration of the way this kind of study may be conducted.
This editorial provides valuable guidance on the kind of material which might be included in a paper which aimed to describe the methodological generation of a grounded theory.
