We are pleased to announce that the journal has established an exciting agreement with the international publishers Churchill Livingstone, to produce and market the journal. Churchill Livingstone has a long history of producing nursing texts and journals for both Australian and overseas markets. The expertise this company has in publishing fills the rather large gap that we envisaged with the long term production and marketing of the journal.
The editorial side of the journal will continue with the same format. Manuscripts will be submitted for our rigorous double-blind peer review assessment. This process includes Editorial Board members working with Australian nurse experts to assess and review submitted manuscripts.
The journal continues to need your active support, if it is to exist as a viable addition to the developing collection of Australian nursing literature. So I repeat my request from previous issues, that you take the opportunity to become involved with the journal through submitting to the various departments. This request also extends to your encouragement of colleagues, throughout the profession, to also commit themselves to advancing nursing knowledge by submitting manuscripts, debating issues, reflecting on critical nursing practice and suggesting areas for further research.
I hope that the profession will view the journal as a serious commitment to producing a quality journal which expresses.
