With this issue we welcome new Editors in China, the USA and Europe, including Dr Huaping Liu who joins us from Peking Union Medical College. We have formalised the structure of the Editorial Board slightly to focus our activities in sections where we wish to grow. New Section Editors have been invited to stimulate manuscript flow, act as manuscript receiving centres and to assist the Board in the peer review process. We are currently seeking an international Clinical Papers Editor to complement the board and to underscore our commitment to publishing clinical research, practice and protocols in Contemporary Nurse.
- Professor Annette Street is currently compiling Contemporary Nurse's first book, provisionally titled Practical Tips for the Contemporary Nurse.
- Professor John Daly is Guest Editing a special themed issue of Contemporary Nurse dedicated to invited, high quality, data-based research articles which advance practice.
- Congratulations to Nicholas Procter on his 2002 Nursing Excellence Award for Nursing Education by the Government of South Australia.
We are experiencing growth in enquiries for past articles and back issues from index listings and web searches. Abstracts, full text of editorials, book reviews, exemplars and soapbox articles from all issues back to 1997 now appear on www.contemporarynurse.com. Please feel free to contact me with your recommendations to improve its usefulness.
With this issue we close subscribe to Contemporary Nurses for the financial year July 2001 - June 2002. Renewals for volumes 13 and 14 (July 2002 - June 2003) are strong with a healthy increase in new subscribe to Contemporary Nurses. We look forward to a vibrant year with you as subscribers and authors in the pages and on the website of Contemporary Nurse.
