Dear Editor,
I would like to congratulate you on the first edition of the journal. I am really excited about the possibility of there being more Australian journals to use for research and teaching purposes. I particularly enjoyed the exemplar section and have used the pieces already for some of my students in the clinical area.

Dear Editor,
I wish to compliment you on an excellent journal. It has been very innovative of you to initiate Contemporary Nurse which gives the opportunity for all nurses and students to contribute articles for publication in an Australian journal. The paper submitted by Megan-Jane Johnstone was a very fitting feature article and certainly gives food for thought The other sections made very interesting reading and covered a wide area of information. Well done and good luck.

Dear Editor,
As a retired nurse I was curious to read the first issue of Contemporary Nurse. While in London recently I showed it to a nurse I trained with who works in an editorial capacity for Nursing Times. They were very interested in the journal and I believe may subscribe. Even though the journal is for the Australian nursing profession I was pleased they were keen to see what was happening here. I wish you well for all future issues of Contemporary Nurse.
