Dear Editor,
I am writing on behalf of the Sturt Nursing Graduates Association. This association is open to graduates of all nursing awards received through the former South Australian College of Advanced Education, Sturt Campus.
The association aims to support the interests of members, act as a forum to discuss nursing issues and to foster links between graduates.
We are trying to increase our membership and believe that there are many graduates from Sturt who are not aware that they are eligible to join the association.
I believe also that there are many graduates who have moved interstate or who have studied through Distance Education who would be interested in joining.
Graduates can obtain further information about the association by writing to me c/- School of Nursing, Flinders University GPO Box 2100 Adelaide, 5001.
Heather Sutton, Vice President
Sturt Nursing Graduates Association.
Dear Editor,
Great to see an adventurous new addition to the nursing literature. Your proposed coverage of reviews, qualitative research, case studies and anecdotes will provide a unique forum for the wide range of knowledge to be gained from nursing experiences.
As a community health nurse in a remote part of Central Australia, I am sure I will greatly appreciate the increased contact with the nursing profession and I encourage nurses from all sectors to subscribe and actively contribute to Contemporary Nurse. Too often nurses are involved in research through their day to day collection of data yet fail to appreciate their own work and the importance of other nurses. The validity of the data is readily apparent from the eagerness of other health professionals to utilize it in their own papers.
So, please put pen to paper (preferably magnetic imprinting to disk) and hand to pocket to support Contemporary Nurse.

Dear Editor,
I wish to commend you and your colleagues on your dedication and foresight in organising such a journal as Contemporary Nurse, where nurses from all levels and areas of practice (including students of nursing) are encouraged to submit work for publication. The list of sections to be included looks very comprehensive.
It is very exciting and has a great deal of potential. Let us hope that we make the most of this opportunity.
